Dan Melnick
Dan Melnick is the founder of Melt. Prior to founding Melt Dan was part of the founding team of musical instrument marketplace Reverb where he led engineering, product, design, and sat on the board of directors. Most recently, Dan was General Manager of Bandcamp, the premier independent music marketplace. In addition to being a lifelong musician and music producer, Dan has a technical background and still writes code. Dan started his career presenting jazz in Chicago at the legendary Velvet Lounge and the Chicago Jazz Festival.
Dave Godowsky
Dave Godowsky is co-founder of Melt. He spent 15 years as an artist manager and label A&R executive, working with artists including Nathaniel Rateliff, Phish, Alison Krauss, and Ween. He went on to become Head of Artist Relations at music tech pioneers Native Instruments and iZotope, where he led their Artist Board (including Alicia Keys, Ludwig Göransson, EL-P, and Jacob Collier). He now runs Godowsky Artist Relations, connecting leading music technology companies with the world's top artists, producers, and engineers. Dave is also an artist in his own right, having released three solo albums, toured nationally, and co-written with many national recording artists.
